That’s it, it’s 8pm and I’m finally Home… Where does the time fly?
Of course the routine is the same, I jump into my PJ’s, get a cup a tea and put my phone into shuffle mode. And I can say this has been a success lately, i’ve discover many songs that i’ve never heard of before.
The discovery of tonight, this cover
“Say a Little Prayer” by Lianne La Havas
A bit of story… i know you want it
You probably know the song already from Dionne Warwick
This song was released in 1967 and covered multiple time by other female singers as Aretha Franklin for example.
The words talks about the worries and prayers of a woman while her lover is fighting at the Vietnam War.
You can clearly see that the lyrics aren’t a big detailed novel, but for me, simple and short words are more efficient when it comes to make you feel emotions…
My favorite verse is the first one
“The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little pray for you
While combing my hair now
And wondering what dress to wear now
I say a little prayer for you”
For me this song talks about true love and how this feeling can impact us throughout our days…
However you may have another feeling, and I would love to hear about it 🙂
Oh wait, obviously I forgot to share the song… Here you go les filles…
Enjoy and Smile
